This is a textbook example of a great View From Your Table. Note that it is a view from your table, not a view of your table. It shows the food and drink, but in a context. If you just take a picture of the food on your plate, and nothing but, it’s not likely to make the cut.

That reminds me, Francophile readers: Sunday is Bastille Day, an occasion of historical tragedy pour la droite, certainly, but an opportunity to celebrate France. I’m cooking a dinner for my niece Hannah and her best friend, who just returned from a trip to France. Must put the menu together soon.
