The Odious Donald Trump
I’ve been traveling all day, and was late to hear about the outrageous remark that boob Donald Trump made about John McCain. From the LA Times:
“He’s not a war hero,” Trump said at the Family Leadership Summit in Ames, Iowa, in response to a question about McCain, who has sharply criticized Trump’s withering comments on immigrants.
“He’s a war hero because he was captured. I like people that weren’t captured, OK? I hate to tell you. He’s a war hero because he was captured, OK? And I believe — perhaps he’s a war hero. But right now, he’s said some very bad things about a lot of people,” Trump said.
I do not like John McCain’s foreign policy. I don’t like John McCain’s temperament. I don’t like a lot of things about John McCain’s politics. But that man suffered terribly in the service of his country, and deserves respect and gratitude for that. Donald Trump is a rich-kid punk who deserves to have a Vietnam veteran pop him in his big mouth.
This tweet says it all:

The one good thing about this is it probably means the end of the Trump presidential-candidacy-as-clown-car-derby. One hopes so.
UPDATE: Trump on Christianity. Says he has his “cracker” and his “wine,” and “feels cleansed.” Says he has never asked God to forgive him. Hoo boy.
