How Clueless Is Santorum?

Apparently clueless enough to not just express support for Mr. Bush and the war, which would be one thing and rather predictable, but to state that support as if it were 2003 and not 2006:

“I think he’s been a terrific president, absolutely,” Santorum said in the nearly hour-long debate on NBC’s “Meet the Press.” Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld — whose resignation is being sought by some Republican candidates — “has done a fine job,” he said, and “there is no question that the Iraq war should have commenced.” ~The Washington Post

Rumsfeld has done a fine job?  Oh my goodness, as the man himself might say, what does doing a bad job look like?  There is no question that we should have gone into Iraq?  Maybe there are bad questions, or inadequate questions or questions that Santorum does not feel the need or does not have the ability to answer, but no question at all?  Well, how could there be a question for a man who never questions the administration line on anything?  I used to be simply hoping that Santorum would lose; now I am enthusiastically cheering at the prospect.
