Nobody knows what the political fallout from the Washington standoff is going to be, but if it waylays the Republicans in the 2014 election, this will be line everybody quotes:

“We’re not going to be disrespected,” conservative Rep. Marlin Stutzman, R-Ind., added. “We have to get something out of this. And I don’t know what that even is.”

According to this House Republican, they’re keeping the government shut down over respect? And they don’t even know what they want? 

Well, at least Rep. Marlin Stutzman doesn’t know. But he’s going to rage about it on the record! This is pretty much the dictionary definition of a Kinsley gaffe.
