Britain’s Anti-White Wokeness, America’s Pro-Israel Madness
No one prominent has taken the knee for Henry Nowak, the young man stabbed to death in Britain.
You couldn’t, as they say, make it up. It took place in Southampton, England. The Brit police bravely handcuffed a dying 18-year-old student, Henry Nowak, who was white, and then dragged his body on the gravel, despite the young man informing them that he had trouble breathing and that he was dying. As the youngster took his last breaths, the fuzz read him his rights.
It gets a lot better, er, I mean worse. The young white man had been stabbed several times by Vickrum Digwa, a Sikh who had a large knife on his person. Digwa, who is a dark brown man, was afforded decency even after it was established that he had stabbed and killed Nowak. He, too, was read his rights, though never handcuffed. Instead, he was politely escorted to a police car and arrested.
By now, this sad story is all over the news here and in the UK. Yet no one prominent has taken a knee for the white innocent 18-year-old victim. Six years ago, seemingly everyone in sports, government, and entertainment on both sides of the Atlantic took a knee for a career criminal who died in Minnesota. Leftists in Britain were kneeling for George Floyd 5,000 miles away, but they’re not for Henry. Why not? Because he’s white, that’s why.
The fuzz that arrived at the crime scene were trained for a potential race incident, rather than a potential murder. This is woke gone haywire: black always good, white always bad. Which brings me to this country.
A white, clean-cut young pro athlete is asked to introduce the president of the United States at some shindig, and after praising the professional football team he plays for, he introduces the president without fanfare. Jaxson Dart wasn’t speaking as a Giants quarterback but as an American citizen. Unlike the many NFL players who took a knee after the George Floyd incident, Dart was not forcing his political opinion on the fans or his teammates. Yet one of the latter, the edge rusher Abdul Carter, criticized Dart. Abdul is a common first name in Middle East countries. The Abduls of this world have not as yet learned about freedom because they have never lived in a free society. Even this Abdul, the edge rusher, thinks like the rest of the Abduls, despite the fact he was born and brought up in this free country. Apparently, if he doesn’t like President Donald Trump, that means nobody else should either. The Giants-owning Maras are a great football family since way back. They should gift Abdul the Declaration of Independence on the 4th of next month and have someone read it to him if he is unable. But Abdul, don’t feel bad: In ancient Baghdad, people in gold loincloths didn’t get it either.
Speaking of the Middle East: Combatting antisemitism “labs” are just the latest pro-Israel program. They’re supposed to detect anti-Jew hatred, which doesn’t exactly seem like an exact science: In America anyone criticizing Israel in the slightest is immediately treated as bacteria, to be scolded and scorned, denounced as worse than Nazis.

AIPAC and the rest of the Israel lobby in America have turned any criticism of Israel into antisemitism, no ifs, ands, or buts about it. Mention the 72,000 plus deaths in Gaza, you’re an antisemite! Dare to say something about the 18,000 medical patients in Gaza without any drugs or pain killers due to the Israeli army blockade begun in 2007, and you’re another Hitler! Say a word about the 3,500 dead in Lebanon recently killed by Israeli fire and you’ll hear screams against your Nazi thoughts. Whether they like it or not, Americans are complicit in the ethnic cleansing in the West Bank, and the genocide—yes, genocide—in Gaza. The American government under Trump was complicit in the devastating collective punishment of the people of Gaza because it failed to use its leverage.
When I was last in Israel covering the Yom Kippur War in 1973, I shared a car with Joe Fried, the American journalist who was the dean of “the Five O’Clock Follies” in Vietnam, having covered that war for 11 long years. I think Joe is still with us, perhaps not, but he helped me a lot in Israel during the conflict. He was the one that let me know about rumors of sexual violence and torture of Palestinians way back then; Uncle Sam has been complicit in Israeli crimes for a long time. The only way to undo this is by ending the blank check for Israel’s perpetual wars and joining the rest of the world to force Israel to live within its borders of June 4, 1967.
Screaming antisemitism against anyone who dares challenge Israel’s policies is very old hat. Calling it Jew hate is even more pathetic. Tucker Carlson, for example, is no antisemite. He’s brave enough to call it as it is. America should have had the guts to rein in the genocidal maniac Benjamin Netanyahu and his band. It’s never too late.
