PeterK tells me that today is Food Revolution Day. We’re doing our part with the vegetables above — tomatoes, squash, bok choy, zucchini, lettuce, turnips, and more — all of which came either from the local farmer’s market, or from our organic CSA, where Julie and Lucas put in some work this morning. Above, the view from my kitchen counter five minutes ago. The magnolia blossom came from our backyard.

I must say that the late spring vegetable bounty is one of the reasons I’m so happy to be back home in Louisiana.
