The view from our apartment in the city center of Florence tonight. James C. was the photographer. Casella was the chef. He made fusilli lunghi with basil, garlic, and fresh ricotta from the market. There was insalata mista, and Chianti. Three bottles. Sidney Bechet on the stereo, and the sound of the street wafting into the windows from below.
