Itza Hike
Iztaccíhuatl, Mexico

I’m sending a VFYT that really emphasizes the “View”. This is from a hike I took with my family and friends on the Iztaccíhuatl volcano (extinct) here in central Mexico.

That’s Mexico City in the distance, to the west; it’s under the gray-brown haze on the horizon.

So the “table” is only a rock and the food is very simple: water, an apple,
packaged cookies and a “torta” (but that was very good; ham & Monterrey Jack
cheese with a chipotle salsa). But the view was pretty kickin’. And it was
a great way to spend a day. We are so blessed to live close to mountains! We
read Psalm 8, which really puts things into perspective. And, we met another
hiker whose name was Dante. For real.
