An Egyptian Islamic fundamentalist group warns the faithful not to eat tomatoes. Why? Because the tomato is a Christian food. Look, you can see a cross hidden inside the thing!

After receiving complaints, the fundies (Salafists) backtracked, saying that it’s okay to eat tomatoes, just don’t cut them in such a way as to reveal the hated cross. Oh, okay. That makes perfect sense.

Poor Egypt is in for a wild ride. And oh look, the Salafists are making inroads into Germany.  As long as they leave the potatoes alone, there won’t be any problems. But Mamma mia, they’ll never take Italy! Chef Boy-ar-dee is the Charles Martel of our time.
