I just received my latest issue of Harper’s, which includes an essay by Wendell Berry titled “Faustian economics,” whch is basically a reflection on the limitedness of human existence. It is a great piece, and reminds me that the prospects of the paleo collapse or “insurgency” is not the whole story. Harper’s would never publish an express paleocon, and it does publish some nonsense, but Berry’s essay would fit nicely in Chronicles or TAC.
