Colin D. Pearce is the Lyceum Professor for the Clemson Institute for the Study of Capitalism at Clemson University in which position he teaches a slate of political science and “Great Books” courses. His articles and reviews have appeared in a wide variety of journals open to contributions in which the disciplinary lines of political science, philosophy, literature, and social thought intersect. Among other roles, he  has served as the president of the South Carolina Political Science Association and “William Gilmore Simms Professor” at the University of South Carolina.
