Benjamin R. Young is an Assistant Professor of Intelligence Studies at Fayetteville State University. He has a PhD in East Asian history from George Washington University. He has written for COMPACT magazine, Foreign Policy, The National Interest, The Diplomat, NK News, Nikkei Asia, and the National Security Journal. He is the author of the book Guns, Guerillas, and the Great Leader: North Korea and the Third World (Stanford University Press, 2021).
