Postcards from Rural England
Bigbury-on-Sea, Devon, England

Guess who has moved again? Our James C. has relocated (for family reasons) from rural northern Italy to southwest England. He writes about the above photo:

Fried local monk scampi and a tuna melt with a chocolate brownie milkshake. Delicious. British food is getting more and more Americanised these days. I’m not complaining…

St. Mawgan, Cornwall, England

Says James C:

An idyllic country village where I went to a wonderful Easter Triduum at a convent of Franciscan nuns.

Norton St. Philip, near Bath, Somerset, England

James C.:

Cod and chips, one of the best I’ve ever had. But it was hard to eat it with all the distractions that a cavernous 14th-century inn offers. The Remains of the Day was filmed here.
