We’ve debated switching URLs off and on for a few years; until now, Amconmag had held in there by sheer inertia. It was adopted in the beginning to sound very webby, and it has the advantage of brevity. But we’ve never liked its use as a nickname, and the Internet has long since moved away from such late ’90s-style abbreviations. So Amconmag is no more, and we are now TheAmericanConservative.com on the web as well as The American Conservative in print — or TAC (pronounced “tack”) for short.
