Today on theamericanconservative.com, Andrew Bacevich noticed the “Israelification” of U.S. foreign and security policy, and W. James Antle III reflected on why Republicans fell over themselves to compliment Clinton’s convention speech.

Rod Dreher contemplated Kevin Williamson’s claim that Romney has all the status-markers of a tribal chieftain, bemoaned the passing of a Parisian literary gem, and pointed out the blithe unconcern of the American public for the persecution of Christians abroad. Daniel Larison reflected on the nature of the U.S.-India relationship, the need for the GOP to promote non-interventionists, and the frosty transatlantic relations between the British Conservatives and the GOP.

Finally, Samuel Goldman argued that there is more to conservatism than a British accent, and Michael Brendan Dougherty laid to rest any notion that the internet is transforming American society into a meritocracy.
