The American Conservative invites you to attend a lunch discussion of Mark T. Mitchell’s new book Plutocratic Socialism: The Future of Private Property and the Fate of the Middle Class which explores the relationship between the decline of middle class property ownership and the crisis of constitutional government. 

Join us Wednesday, February 22nd from 12:00-1:00 PM at the Conservative Partnership Institute (CPI) in Washington D.C. for a timely discussion of this important book.

Mark T. Mitchell is Dean of Academic Affairs, Chairman, Department of Applied Liberal Arts and Professor of Government at Patrick Henry College.  He is the author of several books including Power and Purity: The Unholy Marriage That Spawned America’s Social Justice Warriors, and The Limits of Liberalism: Tradition, Individualism, and the Crisis of Freedom.  He holds a Ph.D. in Government from Georgetown University.

Shaun Rieley is Senior Director for Programs at The American Ideas Institute which, publishes The American Conservative. He is also a Visiting Fellow at Hillsdale College’s Van Andel Graduate School of Government in Washington, DC.  He holds a Ph.D. in Political Theory from the Catholic University of America.

Lunch will be served.
