R. McKay Stangler is director of foundation relations at the Intercollegiate Studies Institute. He earned a Ph.D. in rhetoric at the University of Kansas, where he wrote his dissertation on Richard Weaver and the Southern Agrarians. He has been a faculty member at the University of Kansas, Donnelly College, and Berry College, and has written for the Imaginative Conservative, the New Atlantis, Front Porch Republic, Crisis, the St. Austin Review, the Abbeville Institute, and Voegelin View. He lives in Kansas.
