Joe Donato is military historian who writes and lectures on national security topics and serves as a military intelligence officer in the U.S. Army Reserve. From 2018-19, he served as a political-military advisor to the commander of a combined joint task force in Iraq during the campaign against ISIS. He holds a BA in History from Seton Hall University and an MA in Security Studies from Georgetown University. He lives and works in Washington, DC.
