Having already thrice denied denied any connection with Pat Buchanan, it was perhaps inevitable that Sarah Palin’s walk to Canossa would now entail passing through the gauntlet of The Lobby.  On Tuesday she was accompanied by Joe Lieberman when she met with a group from AIPAC .  She described her “deep, personal and lifelong commitment to the safety and well being of Israel” and expressed her understanding of the threat from Iran,   She was well received and interrupted by applause twice.  It was also reported that she has an Israeli flag on the wall of her office in Alaska.  Why she has an Israeli flag on the wall of her office was by no means clear.  She has also reportedly said that the US Army is in Iraq on a “task sent from God” but at least she has the gumption to put her money where her mouth is as her son is apparently going there to fight.
