Samuel Goldman promoted a college lottery, and honed in on the cost of living. Scott Galupo enjoyed American rock concerts. Rod Dreher revealed Chinese kleptocracy, exercised the spiritual faculty, remembered old dates, cautioned children, and ate a big fat gay oreo.

Daniel Larison agreed with the Dutch, discerned the futility of having a secretary of state with a different “worldview,” scrutinized democratists, and sensed that Turkey is not itching for war. Scott McConnell gagged over the election, Kelley Vlahos minded Egypt, and Dreher questioned liberal democracy’s viability in foreign cultures.
