Nick Turse from TomDispatch does an in-depth analysis of America’s increasing unmanned drone activities:

Using military documents, press accounts, and other open source information, an in-depth analysis by TomDispatch has identified at least 60 bases integral to U.S. military and CIA drone operations. There may, however, be more, since a cloak of secrecy about drone warfare leaves the full size and scope of these bases distinctly in the shadows.

After telling David Gregory on “Meet The Press” Sunday morning that he was “not familiar with the neoconservative movement,” the jury might still be out on what Herman Cain knows and doesn’t know about foreign policy. Gregory asked Mr. Cain to list some of the figures who had influenced his views on foreign policy, to which Cain replied that he’d followed the writings of former United Nations ambassador John Bolton and Henry Kissinger. The Cain campaign has since tried to clarify the statement to The Daily Caller:

“Of course he’s heard of it… He just doesn’t want to be labeled.”
