Why Not Seal Off Ebola Countries?
Allowing normal flights to and from countries suffering from a deadly plague is irresponsible

When I was in the passport line at JFK yesterday, a military traveler said that they were going to start doing fever checks of passengers getting off of flights from African countries affected by Ebola. Now they have. Okay, that’s fine, but let me ask: Why are we allowing flights from those countries at all, given that the Ebola epidemic is out of control, and given how incredibly deadly it is?
Anyway, I’m glad to be home. And glad not to be passing through international airports any more.
