James Antle III assessed the GOP’s prospects in the race for the Senate. Daniel Larison assessed Romney’s prospects in the Presidential debate and rubbished his foreign policy op-ed in this morning’s Wall Street Journal.

Samuel Goldman investigated the meritocratic potential of high-school entrance exams. Michael Tracey criticized Obama’s record as well as that of the GOP establishment for failing to provide a coherent alternative, and Scott Galupo meditated on Obama’s vulnerability on foreign policy and national security.

Rod Dreher focused on the practice of political lyingtelevisual voyeurism, and the death of self-effacement in the military.
