Fortunately, the courts use the “neutrality test” these days rather than the “Lemon test”, which did require a strict separation of church and state. Unfortunately, in the rulings that established neutrality, rather than separation, they did not state that they were directly overturning the “Lemon Test”. The courts, therefore, could easily go either way in future rulings.
