No doubt, the nirvana of a government limited to only the enumerated powers in the Constitution, has not materialized, but we must keep our heads in the game and our eyes on the ball. ~Jonathan Garthwaite

Beware the New Age comma-splicing party loyalist!  In his list of hackneyed cliches for hard work and optimism, I believe Mr. Garthwaite left out putting our shoulder to the wheel, continuing to look on the bright side, keeping on the sunny side of life, and keeping our nose to the grindstone.

Someone might also tell Mr. Garthwaite that nirvana means extinction, referring in Buddhism and Hinduism to the cessation of all attachments and desires, so Mr. Garthwaite has just told us that the extinction of a government limited to its enumerated powers has not yet materialised, which is the exact opposite of what he meant to say.  There is also something more than a little odd about identifying the restriction of the powers of government with a state of enlightenment.  I’m a big fan of strict construction and limited government, but I don’t pretend that we will have somehow passed beyond the realm of dukkha (craving, attachment, suffering) once we have reached that point.  Perhaps it is time for Mr. Garthwaite to consult either his guru or his English grammar books.
