Walker Percy, Pray For Your Bibulous Brethren

We may have hit peak bourbon! The rate of bourbon consumption has surpassed the market’s ability to meet demand, given that bourbon must be aged for at least eight to 10 years before it is sold.

My advice to those attending the Walker Percy Weekend in a few days is to consume as much as you can, while there is still time. Fortunately, we in West Feliciana have secreted vast amounts in our underground bourbon caves, so we don’t anticipate any problems.
