At the Free State Brewing Co. in Lawrence, KS.  A John Brown Ale with a bowl of cheddar ale soup.  (On the glass, which you can barely make out, is a quotation from the diary of a Capuchin monk named Brother Epp, whose order was based in KS in the early 20th century.  The quotation reads “Because without beer…things do not seem to go as well.”  He was referring to Prohibition, of course; the monks were given a special exemption to brew their own beer, and it wasn’t until 1989 that another brewery opened up in KS that could legally sell it–the Free State Brewing Co.   They put that quotation on all the merchandise they sell, and it’s basically part of their logo.)
