Here’s a photo that was taken on last Saturday at the Osteria alla Frasca restaurant in Venice, Italy (https://www.facebook.com/osteriallafrasca). Plate in foreground: black ink spaghetti & squid; Plate in background: spaghetti della frutti di mare. Everything was fresh and was caught that very day in the Laguna. The white wine is from the Soave area in the Veneto region.

The food was excellent, service is fantastic and friendly. Its a small place – maybe 6 tables at most with just a cook, the cook’s helper and the maître d’, Bruno, who’s a real good guy. Neighborhood lore has it that the restaurant is located in the old workshop of the painter Titian where he’d mix his colors for his paintings. That was about 500 years ago.
