View From Your Table

Recently I found reading your blog slightly frustrating. Just too big a gulf on certain topics for even trying to discuss and to find common ground. But then I remember our shared passion for food and it reminds me that over a nice meal we would most likely find much more to agree on than one might expect. And even if not, there is nothing wrong with a spirited argument fueled by a few bottles of wine.
So here is a shot from my vacation in Sicily. The view is from the terrace of the house we rented towards the baroque town of Noto. We started the night with some Gamberone rosse and slices of Guanciale.
Ahh … yes, my table is always common ground.
