The mighty Rocco Palmo tweets that Catholic High of Baton Rouge has postponed its homecoming dance because of the LSU-Alabama game. And right they were to do this. I am telling you, this is HUGE. There won’t be a single television in all of south Louisiana watching anything but this game (in Tuscaloosa) on Saturday night. As Rocco says, “Remember the LSU game, to keep it holy.” Indeed. The two best college football teams in the country, fighting it out Saturday night.  I invite you to light your candles, say your rosaries, and root for God’s team, the LSU Tigers. If not, I feel certain that you’ll go to hell, or at least to heck, and son, who wants to risk that?

UPDATE: A Louisiana expat friend and Catholic High alumnus e-mails to say, “Anyone who questions that decision has not been to Baton Rouge.” True.
