John Grisham Reads Soggy Sweat

Peter K. sends along the video clip above, in which Mississippi writer John Grisham reads Judge Soggy Sweat’s famous Whiskey Speech. Grisham was once a law clerk for the great Judge Sweat, whose Whiskey Speech was a masterpiece of political doubletalk. The speech itself begins at the 5 minute mark, but you’ll want to hear what comes before it, I think.
