Sad news from the Bayou State tonight: artist George Rodrigue has died from cancer. One of the last things he did was give us permission to use his portrait of Walker Percy for the Walker Percy Weekend poster. We are so grateful to George for this, and for his lifelong support of the arts in Louisiana. My heartfelt condolences, and prayers, to his gracious wife Wendy.
