Here’s what I did today: ate lunch with the visiting Father Dwight Longenecker — I forgot to do a View From Your Table! — and then took him to the Best Stop in Scott, Louisiana, to buy boudin. That slightly crazed look in my eye in this selfie is because I just bought 20 lbs. of boudin, two pounds of tasso, three pounds of smoked sausage and two pounds of andouille. My freezer is stocked for the long winter’s night.
