Conservative student publications on campuses across the country serve as farm teams for the Right. TAC intern Patrick Ford, for example, comes to us from the GW Patriot at George Washington University. And for that matter, I got my own start with a campus conservative publication I co-founded at another Washington — the Washington Witness at Washington University in St. Louis.

If you’re a student and would like to create (or perpetuate) a similar publication at your college, you should attend the Leadership Institute’s Student Publications School in Arlington, Virginia this weekend. This two-day seminar is free, and lodging may be available for students traveling from outside of the D.C. area. I’ll be sharing what knowledge I have at the school, as will former TAC senior writer and current American Spectator associate editor W. James Antle III, among many other highly qualified faculty. If you’re a student and are anywhere within a day’s drive or a train trip of Washington, D.C., consider attending. Details below the jump.

Registration and breakfast begins each day at 8:30 and class begins promptly at 9:00 a.m. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are provided.
