I own two iMacs and a Macbook Pro, and will admit that the late Steve Jobs was a genius; but I see no reason to assume that his political views were particularly wise. According to the forthcoming biography written by Walter Isaacson and obtained by the Huffington Post, Jobs told the President last year that he was “headed for a one-term presidency” while praising the ease of opening factories in China and called for breaking teacher unions.

It scarcely takes a genius to see that continued high unemployment (and not, by the way, deficits or big spending) endangers Obama’s chances for a second term. Jobs’ solution of becoming more like China, where they have fewer pesky concerns about pollution and the rights of employees, sounds sort of PC to me.

The house Crunchy Con has more.
