Good for Ron Paul!

I'm sure every Muslim in America is thrilled as is every jihadi from Morocco to Malaysia. Anyone looking to make some serious cash, invest in a prayer rug manufacturing company here in America if it looks like Ron Paul will become President. I'd like to see Ron Paul's stance on the issue of what is guaranteed more ...a person's rights under the Constitution or a person's rights under Sharia Law. You think Ron Paul will decide to strip a Muslim's right to have his case heard under Sharia Law?

Thanks for putting your finger on an important point. If isolationists and racists choose not to call themselves by those terms, why should other people do so? If someone chooses not to associate with people of a race he doesn't like, that's a matter of free choice. He also has the right to define his views by whatever term he likes, not those of the PC police. Similarly, if someone opposes involvement overseas, but chooses not to call himself an isolationist, that should be his choice.

"Isolationists" and "racists" unite! You have nothing to lose but the names by which your views are commonly known!

Great story, Jack.
All of these so-called candidates on stage were mimicking a lot of what Ron Paul has been saying for years? 'Parroting' is the term to be for more exact. Their false mimicry exposes their hypocrisy. Poly want a cracker?

Well said, Jack!

I don't know why these "conservatives" go bananas to protect the 2nd Amendment, and yet watch and say nothing as the 4th gets torn to shreds.

Constitutionally, legislatively, and morally, Ron Paul has no equal. His 22 year voting record speaks for itself. The World is watching. Ron Paul for President in 2012.

Thank You ... God Bless America

Currently, it is called Welfare-Capitalism. You should take an ecnomics class before you try to write of it.

Ayn Rand is still 70% correct becuase one has to consider that era, that Big E, Ethos had its own way of thinking and doing hence, ethos. After her, a new Ethos appears more centralized on the macro-world and macro-self unlike her's micro-self, get it?

One needs to judge the data set by its relative values--and try to sumerge oneself into its understanding to make a fair adjustment of it!

I just wrote an essay on Peace and Pain where the world is already a one world system by eco-cybernetic methods reificating the Big E, Ethos over many subsets of little e ethos. To caveat the world inot a one world sytstem is a misnomer and only makes things worse since each subset move requires the Big E Ethos to readjust its setpoint each and every time (Ottoman Empire fall).

My prediction is that world will not lead to globalization but to fragmentation and an aggressive drive to cultural identication, but then within that those people will be forced back to traditional values becuase of the Nature's Consequences (population, inequality, enviornment changes).

It's all well and good speaking of real conservatives.

The Republicans took the US into two interminable wars, which cost trillions. Why weren't you screaming then?

The Fed's enormous expansion of the money supply happened mostly under Republican watch. Why weren't you screaming then?

The initial and largest round of bank bailouts (over a trillion dollars worth) occurred under the Republicans. This was corporate welfare of the most destructive type; it may prove to destroy American capitalism yet. Why weren't you screaming then?

(To be fair, a few people were like Rep. Paul were making noise).

Then, all of a sudden, in comes Obama with health care reform, and you're all screeching like banshees. You have an embedded military industrial complex and a cabal of bankers that run the government, but that seems OK to you guys. The silence on these issues from the right has been deafening.

But spending public money on health-care for the poor? You can't have that, can you? The USA has wasted trillions on defence industries and banks, but public health? Well, that's just a bridge too far, isn't it?

A disinterested observer (like me; I'm an Australian conservative) may conclude that this is all too convenient, and that the only time that American conservatives actually support real conservative values is when there is socialism for the poor to be opposed. You guys have always seemed fine with, and have explicitly supported socialism for the rich.

The most ruinous issues for the USA are:

1. Interminable war.
2. Corporate welfare, bailouts, and tax-breaks (by this, I mean tax breaks that are awarded to corporations, but not people).
3. Excessive expansion of the money supply.
4. Socialist programs like Obamacare.

Attacking number 4 and 3 while ignoring the other 2 (which is what you lot always do) is a bit like worrying about salt-damp in your house while a tidal wave is coming.

I think the real conservatives might even agree, if you can find any besides Rep Paul.
