Today on theamericanconservative.com, Noah Millman looked forward to President Clinton’s convention speech with great disinterest. Jordan Bloom identified three things missing from the Democratic Platform, and Kelley Vlahos and Daniel Larison considered Joe Lieberman’s “party of one.”

Rod Dreher reflected further on the ideological and demographic composition of the journalistic profession in America and on the decision of some conservatives to stick with Obama. He also invoked the Scottish philosopher Alasdair MacIntyre to argue that America shouldn’t have to choose between two unacceptable candidates for President. Meanwhile, W. James Antle III argued that President Obama might benefit from reviving foreign policy as an election issue and Phillip Giraldi warned of American entanglement with Israel.
