Today on theamericanconservative.com, Scott Galupo, Daniel Larison, and Noah Millman reacted to Romney’s impressive performance in the first presidential debate.

Eamonn Fingleton spotlighted Japan’s auto trade protectionism, and James P. Pinkerton called for a more effective water policy. Rod Dreher contemplated the world-historical nature of the French Revolution. Larison argued that Romney is unlikely to disown the legacy of the Bush era and felt that tonight’s debate was Romney’s best shot at resuscitating his faltering campaign.

Kelley Vlahos investigated the premature deaths of Texas veterans recently returned from Iraq and Afghanistan, Scott McConnell highlighted the relative dangers of neoconservatism, and Galupo criticized the alternative right-wing media’s all-consuming obsession with race.
