  1. E6 is so ridiculous (at least, I hope it is as obviously ridiculous to others as it is to me), and yet, I’ve actually heard that one, which is horrifying.

  3. Too bad this was put together by somebody without exposure to the specifically Christian (and more ingenious, Catholic) attempts to square the circle. There’s a whole ‘nother flow chart out there waiting to be born! God tortured Jesus, so torture is divinely ordained. Ad Extirpanda trumps Veritatis Splendor. Torquemada says it’s fine. Until the Church issues a dogma defining every conceivable form of torture in a way that leaves no room for definitional ambiguity for anybody on the planet, it’s impossible to know what torture is.

    Why, there’s a whole world of insane Christian sophistry the author of the chart needs to know about! I would never have believed it if I hadn’t encountered it ad nauseam these past five years.
