Aye, Pons is right on this one. In fact, Kristol might be philosophically, at least, preferable to Alinsky.

I would not revel overmuch in this defeat if it means merely exchanging the revolutionary-totalitarian movement of Kristol for that of Alinsky’s. A few more such victories and we are undone.
