I always thought John was a bit deranged, what with all this talk of "school vouchers" and "slow food" and "God" and all that nonsense....

What is with the right and Thomas Paine nowadays? Glenn Beck and now Mark Levin. Sure, "Common Sense" played a pretty big part in the American War for Independence, but Paine was one of the biggest liberals of his day. If I recall correctly, Paine's "Rights of Man" was a response to Burke's "Reflections on the Revolution in France." Paine is antithesis of a conservative.

You got it, JL. I'm honored to have been a co-substitute for the world's most deranged blogger.

Two things:

1) Note the order of the "deranged" bloggers. John's either most or least deranged of the bunch; since Sullivan-bashing is a pretty well established sport, I'm going to assume that he'd be closer to "most" than least; ergo: John is the MOST deranged blogger in the world.

2) This makes me sidekick/henchman to the most deranged blogger in the world, correct? (I mean, a kid's gotta dream, right?)
