Every true conservative should know that you always take the commie metaphor if possible. Nazi metaphors are reserved for when absolutely no commie regime will work.
It’s especially odd coming from Dr. Sowell or anyone on the Right. Usually the Nazi and Fascist slams come from the Left. More apt comparisons would be to Castro’s much-extolled schools, or the madrassahs of Islam. So former conservatives are picking up the rhetoric of their putative political enemies, as well as their policies.
