Meanwhile Mark “El Guapo” Levin is working overtime to turn all of this into an evil Soros-backed conspiracy to destroy the Republicans, America and perhaps the entire planet.  GOP complicity in Foley’s perversion is apparently not terribly significant.  He called the Times‘ resignation editorial “irresponsible” before it was even published, and he says that we need more information.  However, it appears that the only kind of information Levin is interested in digging up is about the people who revealed the scandal.  Of course they were acting with political goals in mind; of course they are exploiting the weakness of their partisans foes.  Have you ever heard such whining about hardball politics from supposedly worldly-wise commentators?
