&#039;In the name of&#039; is a far, far different thing than reality.  Otherwise, the peoples of Eastern Europe would still fondly remember the day when the Soviet Army liberated them. 

If you graphed war support on a left-right political axis, there&#039;d be zilch for support on the left, with the proportion steadily rising as one went to the right.  One would have to go to the far, far right edge of the GOP to find any wavering in that support. 

This ties in with my other theme:  &quot;it&#039;s not &#039;conservatism; it&#039;s right-wingism&quot;, which describes so much nominally conservative actions.</description>
