		<description>One reason no one else is imagining this scenario is that pretty much everyone assumes, probably correctly, that our forces are already too overstretched to have the luxury of sending anyone to an African war zone.  The situation in Afghanistan is deteriorating far too much; I find it harder and harder to imagine that even this administration would do something so irresponsible as starting a new deployment somewhere else.  Fortunately, I think the idea of a U.S. intervention in Congo is not going to catch on.  Sudan, on the other hand...</description>

		<description>Interesting that, in the midst of all the cautionary advice to Obama about &quot;overreach&quot; stemming from Clinton&#039;s homosexuals in the military policy and his health care debacle, the even greater debacle of Somalia (which led to the resignation of his Secretary of Defense) is given no attention for Obama.

Intervene in Congo? It staggers the mind to think any would suggest it.  More of the &quot;pornography of compassion&quot; as Thomas Fleming would put it.</description>
