Schiffren once again proves herself to be a moron. Palin can't hold a candle to either Reagan or Clinton. Reagan was on the national scene for years before he ran for president and was reasonably well versed in foreign affairs. Plus, he was governor of California, which could be a nation in and of itself, as opposed to a small welfare state like Alaska, where the government's biggest job is to distribute oil revenues to the poplace. I was no fan of Reagan's, but Palin is no Reagan and to suggest she's comparable is ludicrous.

Likewise, Clinton, a Rhodes scholar, had also been on the national scene for a while before he ran for president. Although he was governor of a small state, he had the intellectual curiosity and firepower Palin so clearly and painfully lacks, as well as a working knowledge of foreign affairs. She ain't no Clinton either--nowhere close.

Schiffern, like the rest of the rightwing hacks who haven't realized what a dim bulb Palin is, grasps at one of the few straws she has left.
