This is kind of a non-sequiter, but I wonder if you have come across this scientific research that shows how political orientation is related to physiological response to threats:

http://www.futurepundit.com/archives/005552.html

I thought it interesting that those with the most aggressive foreign policy views tend to be those who are most startled by loud noises and immediate threats. I particularly liked the experiment that tests the "blink response", which showed that these more paranoid types had a much higher blink rate than other people, especially in light of Sarah Palin's obsession with "not blinking", and McCain's well-known propensity to blink at a high rate - a joke that was made on Stewart or Colbert recently.

Contrast this with Obama's somewhat supernatural calm, and I think we can judge what kind of response the two candidates will have to threatening situations.

"Note how the foreign government is identified entirely with one person–it is Ahamdinejad and “his nuclear weapons program,” as if it had anything to do with him personally."

Isn't the Supreme Leader superior to Ahmadinejad? . . .

'We take most seriously his threat to wipe the United States and Israel “off the map” '

Is there a way too get 'true believers' to understand that he never said that? Most of my republican friends won't talk politics with me anymore and so they won;t listen when I tell them the words 'wipe off the map' were not uttered in the speech. And since when is the US included in that threat?
