Jindal just got elected Governor last year. GWB I was in the middle of his second term as Texas governor. Maybe it's my imagination but the big two parties seem interested in folks with minimal experience in the traditional launch offices (Senator, Rep, Governor, VP). I'm too lazy to go back and profile any huge number of previous Presidential and VP nominees, but is this a recent trend?
