		<description>I think you underestimate the harm &#039;limited government&#039; has done to the GOP.  It hasn&#039;t manifested itself in actual elimination of programs, but more as a mindless allocation of money.  And this has probably had more of an affect at the state house and municipal level.  The GOP has typically used the crude instrument of &#039;freezes&#039; to effect restraint rather than actual management.  Just as mindlessly throwing money at a problem won&#039;t result in things necessarily improving, mindlessly freezing budgets or limiting them to inflation can also have bad effects.  I think when limited government is thrown as a pejorative it is referring to the GOP&#039;s specific unwillingness to show leadership.</description>
