		<description>Yes, the whole thing is ridiculous.   For example, all the anger at Jimmy carter and he was the only one to get Israel any level of peace.

Now, that peace costs the US some 6 billion a year, but it is a form of peace nonetheless.</description>

		<description>This is the irony of the situation; Obama is a perfectly conventional politician when it comes to Israel. And there is very little difference between Democrats and Republicans on this issue as each strives to outdo the other in terms of slavish devotion to the Zionist state and blood-curdling threats against its perceived enemies.

One would wish that he actually would be an unconventional, change agent on this (the former head of the MOSSAD talks about speaking to Hamas, for goodness sake), thinking outside the box and expressing some much needed creativity and that expressing some sympathy for the Palestinian people would be a perfectly acceptable mainstream position too.  But that is too much to ask.</description>
